Lunch: organic egg salad, whole grain crackers, tossed salad with homemade vinaigrette (organic baby spinach, organic baby carrots, cucumbers, pesticide-free tomatoes), organic milk
PM Snack: dried blueberries, veggie straws, water
Classroom Highlights:
Infants/Toddlers: The toddler class welcomed a new friend, Griffin, who had a great first day! The toddlers had fun day with Miss Sharon, and Miss Jeanne had a fun time with the infants--she and Gage even took a walk together and played a little indoor soccer!

Twos Room: The class read the ABC Book and sang "The ABC Song". The class colored with beeswax crayons, counted to 10 and did lots of singing including "Five Little Monkeys" and "Ring Around the Rosie". The class watched the summer campers ride Queso by the kitchen window during the Twos' lunch. Afternoon snack was yummy, and served out on the balcony.

PreK: The class read Maisy Goes to the Beach, Hokey Pokey, and Thing!. The children did beewax modeling, fashioning snakes, snails, ice cubes and more. The class went on a farm walk and visited with summer camp on the front lawn. Afternoon snack was a hit. Welcome to our new friend, Hudson!

Summer Camp: Today was riding day--the kids had a good time riding Queso! Inside, the children enjoyed writing on wipe-off boards, playing with animal figures, working math puzzles, and pretending in the play kitchen. Several of the kids also worked chopping vegetables for our salad and they made a delightful vinaigrette, too. We talked about how quickly we made the vinaigrette, and how it took quite a while to drive to the store, park, go into the store and find dressing, then pay and go back home. They were amazed at how much they liked it! Outside the class enjoyed climbing on a fallen tree and playing both badminton and volleyball.
