Classroom Highlights:

Infant Room: Janie sang "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" to the children and read Maisy's Pop-up Playhouse. Summer camp friends came to visit and play with the kids. Gage is crawling all over--standing and walking sideways, Emma Grace is trying to crawl, and making headway each day. Addison can sit in the Bumbo and is reaching for toys that Janie offers to her.
Toddler/Twos Room: The toddlers read Baxter Bear Goes to the Farm, built with blocks, went for a farm walk to visit the animals, and played with visiting summer camp friends.
PreK: The class did morning farm chores and worked on recognizing their written names. They also played name games. We worked on nursery rhymes; some of their favorites are: "Hickory Dickory Dock", "Sing a Song of Sixpence", and "Old Mother Hubbard".
Summer Camp: Today the class made felt monster puppets with Allison Sutton. They designed the puppet, watched as Allison sewed it together with her machine, and cut decorations to glue on. We did some farm chores and used digital cameras in the afternoon. The last two days the children have designed board games and use dice, as well as wipe-off markers for the pawns. We had a good day!
