Shamrocks and Rainbows

Shamrocks and rainbows were everywhere today to welcome our new two-week thematic unit.

Harvested from our front flower beds...

A happy rainbow puzzle on the mantle with new library books...

Our flag whipping in today's wild wind...it may have been the last day of February, but we could feel March just on the other side of tonight waiting to ROAR in!

Sorting by color using tongs...

Chalkboard drawings...

PreK dyed pasta to be used this week...

Pedaling...many miles are logged by the children going round and round this post!

Posing in front of the biggest rainbow at school!

They were driving a train down by the station, early in the morning no less...

Flu Boo!

Just a short note to say that we've been hit hard by the flu for the last two weeks. Teachers, administrators, staff children, and school families alike have gone down. We'll catch back up with pics and other good things when the proverbial smoke clears. Until then, we're focused on sanitizing, good clean food, lots of water, rest, and soaking up the sun as we can.

Think a good thought for us, and understand if it takes a little longer to respond to emails and special requests.

I sign this, "Currently in Good Health",

Leslie

A toddler flying on his belly at the swings...It's good not to always push them when they are at the swings for it develops the need to learn to pump one's legs as well the physical development necessary to do so.

Happy boy in the warm temps and the sunlight...

Friends writing together...

Sewing cards...fine motor skills of all sorts give way to writing when it's time.

Brrr...the cold wind blew in today but we braved the outdoors!

I loved her poncho! She looks like a little lady who just returned home from running errands.

Busy babies!

A group of guys running around the porch post...kind of like a cat chasing its tail.
