AM Snack: orange slices, water
Lunch: cheese quesadillas on natural tortillas, organic mixed vegetables, organic milk
PM Snack: bananas, Amy's organic bunnies snack crackers, water

Infants: Janie enjoyed singing to Emma and Porter. Emma is crawling everywhere, and Porter loves to laugh. He liked watching Emma eat her yogurt, and tried to grab it!

Toddlers: The toddlers enjoyed a wagon ride to visit the animals. They sang "Old MacDonald Had a Farm", and went on a nature walk collecting pine cones. They received lots of love and caring from Ellen and Jeanne today!

Twos: The class loved their new classroom, with more space and more things to do! This morning they used a big dump truck from Wacy to collect rocks around the farm, which they later painted in their classroom. In the afternoon, they glued eyes onto the rocks and made a "pet rock". They sang the "ABC Song" and looked at letters during Community Time. Thanks to Christin and Jeanne for making today a great one for the children!

PreK: Welcome to our new friend Nixon, and happy 3rd birthday, too! The entire PreK did farm chores together, then headed to our favorite play space, a downed tree, to watch the road construction. We had fun watching a grader and a roller! Before lunch, we filled the sandbox together. In Leslie's half-day class, the children did watercolor painting with blue, played with 3 dimensional shapes, and read a farm story called Book! Book! Book!. We learned each other's name, and guessed the spelling of each classmate's name when it was written on the wipe-off board. In Kari's class, the children enjoyed reading My School's a Zoo. They compared and contrasted the zoo school to our farm school, and thought that was really funny. Both classes further organized and explored their new classrooms. After lunch, the group enjoyed a special birthday snack from Nixon on the front lawn! We had a great day, and the cool sand in the sand box felt great on our hot toes!
