AM Snack: organic strawberries, watermelon, water
Lunch: meat lasagna, organic broccoli, organic milk
PM Snack: colby-jack cheese cubes and pretzels or bananas, water

Classroom Highlights:

Infants: Janie rolled the soccer ball back and forth with the infants. The class sang "Happy Birthday" to Gage and wore party hats! Emma Grace is slithering on her tummy, Gage is babbling and laughing lots, and Addie smiles and takes in all the sights and takes in all the sights/sounds of the farm school.

Toddlers: This morning the class went on a farm walk, and played in the front yard with soccer balls and volleyballs. Sharon read books to the children, and they enjoyed crawling through a tunnel in the classroom. The children at lots of lasagna at lunch time, and then took a two hour nap! After nap, the kids went for a walk outside and played with the parachute, sidewalk chalk, and had a banana under the big trees. Everyone helped celebrate Gage's first birthday with chocolate brownies!

Twos: The class sang "The ABC Song" and talked about the letters in our names. The kids enjoyed painting their names, too! The class also loved singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" and played in the teepee. Lots of books were read in class today, and it was fun to stop in the infant room to wish Gage a happy 1st birthday! We had a mini-brownie and wore a party hat!

PreK: The day started with farm chores! We played in the big tree and were surprised to find a new tree there. It was an evergreen tree that had lots of pinecones on it--still attached. The kids loved picking off the pinecones. We read the book Naughty Little Monkeys and for a craft, we helped summer camp tie dye sheets (you may seem some staining on our PreK friends hands for a few days)!

Summer Camp: Today we worked banding, then tie dying sheets. We thank Allison Sutton and Sarah Justice for their help in the tie dying! The kids had fun making yarn bracelets and rings. Most of the children really liked lasagna at lunch time! Inside, we played with Legos, animal figures, and took care of our school baby dolls.
