Infants: Today in the infant room Janie read a variety of nursery rhymes to the children from Mother Goose. She also read Say Hello on the Farm. The children rolled to soft soccer ball across the floor, listened to Janie sing "If You're Happy and You Know It" and "Do Your Ears Hang Low?". We had a good day!

Toddlers: The children fed carrots to our rabbit Mocha, Ellen sang a squirrel song, and the group went pecan hunting on the front yard. They also visited the farm animals, blew bubbles inside the classroom, and enjoyed lots of free play outside in both the morning and afternoon.

Twos: Today the class enjoyed hearing lots of books and songs with Jeanne and Sharon. They also worked with blocks, puzzles, and sang the alphabet song. Outside, the children liked playing soccer, pushing the large dump trucks, swinging, and watching the older children swing on the new swingset. We hope Christin feels better tomorrow, as well as some of our sick friends!

PreK: The class started the day with farm chores. Everyone loved cantaloupe for morning snack. In community time, the classes enjoyed hearing "The Story of Goldfinger", a tale that teaches the lesson that no one finger can do everything by itself. Two or more fingers must work together to pick a cherry or a flower, just as people must work together to achieve a goal. Friends enjoyed mixing colored water and observing the resulting color, using eye droppers to dispense colored water. Also working with water, the children practiced pouring water to different levels marked on a jar. Everyone loved lunch, which included "tree juice", better known as maple syrup! The new swings were a hit, and the children learned to take turns and push friends who have not yet learned to "pump" their legs. We wish our friend Cole a speed recovery from surgery!
