Infants: Gage is walking and Emma is crawling about and pulling up! Porter has learned to flip over and over! The children are enjoying singing with Janie, and Caprice made a fun puppet for the afternoons. Gage loved cantaloupe so much today that he licked the high chair tray with delight to get every drop of juice!

Toddlers: This week the children have enjoyed spending extra time outside in the cooler air. The sand box and farm walks are popular! Janie sang the alphabet song to the children and counted from 1-10 with them in Spanish and English. What a great group of little guys and girls!

Twos: The twos class has been studying squirrels and nuts this week. Yesterday, the class painted with blue. Today, the class had fun doing tree bark rubbings. Everyone likes working puzzles, and the pretend kitchen is popular during free choice time in the classroom.

PreK: Like the Twos class, the Prek is also studying squirrels and nuts this week. Yesterday, we had fun making almond butter in our "magic" blender. It was delicious! For snack we enjoyed almond butter that had been purchased, but we added cinnamon and honey at it was delicious! Kari's group painted with brown, and Leslie's group with yellow. Today, we all enjoyed hearing the story of "Jack Rabbit's Visit" told with sock puppets. Outside, we made tree bark rubbings with our beeswax crayons. Our table activities this week are sorting silverware in a drawer divider and weaving a ribbon through metal pastry cooling racks. Both were a hit! We also enjoyed cracking open pistachios and peanuts and eating them.
