Chocolate Pumpkin Cupcakes

There are many ways to expose your kids to healthy foods by way of disguise! Janie tasted some delicious chocolate pumpkin cupcakes at a friend's house in Dallas a while back and kept remembering how good they were! A recipe was found online and is ridiculously easy and pretty healthy.

Recipe courtesy of amsmith According to the poster of the recipe, it was created by a Weight Watchers leader. The recipe yields 24 cupcakes and are 2 points per serving.

1 box triple chocolate fudge cake mix
1/3 cup applesauce
1 can plain pumpkin [15 ounces]
1/4 cup water
2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Mix all ingredients together. Divide batter to make 24 cupcakes. Follow directions on box for baking cupcakes.

Variations:
*We baked our cupcakes at 350 degrees for approximately 22 minutes.
*We used a milk chocolate cake mix, however, if you want a more intense chocolate flavor, you should use a fudge cake mix.
*We omitted the chocolate chips and they're just as delicious!
