Highlights from the Infant/Toddler Area: Caprice did sensory bags with the infants and they enjoyed lots of books! Caprice also sang more "campfire songs" to the children! The little guys enjoyed the new donated rocking chair from Cole. The toddler class liked hearing Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do you See?. The class also experimented with different smells in canisters. They loved seeing the animals outside!

Highlights from the Twos Room:The boys enjoyed painting with green today. "Good Morning, Good Morning" song was sung along with ABCs, "I Had A Little Turtle", we read the ever-popular Five Little Monkeys and counted one to five using our fingers. A walk to see the animals along with some much needed outside play rounded out the morning. The PreK class visited and performed the "Hambone" and "Head and Shoulders" rhyme this morning. The "big kids" are very popular with the Twos class.

Highlights from the PreK:
Leslie's Class: Today we worked with beeswax during community time. We read One Magical Day and Going to Sleep on the Farm. We like looking at the illustrations on the inside of the front and back covers in each book, as the front represents morning and the back evening. We found similarities in the way our school farm looks when we arrive and when we leave. Beeswax crayons were available for writing "mountain letters" and more. We slipped across the hall to peform our two rhymes: "Hambone" and "Head and Shoulders" for the Twos class. They loved it, and we joined hands and took a bow. Play inside included Matt and Saxon building and extensive structures with a building set, which they saved for more play this afternoon. Other friends enjoyed working at the writing table, playing baby dog, and cooking dominoes. This afternoon we will work with the balance beam and water the plant starts in the greenhouse. Check out how much we have recycled over the last week!
Michelle's Class: We listened to a fairy tale CD and enjoyed hearing familiar rhymes such as "Hansel and Gretel", "Sleeping Beauty", "The Three Little Pigs" and more. We enjoyed "The Farmer in the Dell" during Community Time and introduced a new calendar in this area. We counted days and talked about Leilani's birthday tomorrow. Some friends began crafting a crown to use as the king or queen for the day.
