Community: practiced clapping 1-20, added our fingers and toes to get 20, phonics work, sang some of our favorite songs with pictures on the wipe off board, listened for our names spelled aloud and did some tricks for our friends when it was our name that was spelled, read Matt's book The Gas We Pass, read Bear Around Town
Fine Motor: Building blocks [toddlers], unifix cubes, puzzles,
Outside: The children had great fun running and playing in their rain boots this morning.

We love a good excuse to wear our boots in Texas! We must keep our boots turned upside down as we have little birds that like to make nests in our boots and lay their eggs there!
Outdoor play is critical for children, not just for gross motor development, but also because children have a great need to be in contact with nature!

Indoor play: The children enjoyed a game of Cheerio bingo, addition puzzles, unifixcubes, constructing a house using play silks, clips and stands, treasure chest of dress up clothes, constructing a fort out of snap blocks,
Cooking: Catherine assisted with peeling the carrots for lunch, Jordan, Olivia and Iris helped set the table for breakfast and lunch.

Breakfast: Oatmeal with brown sugar and cinnamon, organic milk, fresh pear slices
Lunch: homemade chicken salad, whole grain crackers, fresh plums, organic milk, organic carrot sticks
Snack: pretzels, peanuts and raisins
