8/22/11
Many of our five year old friends started kindergarten today, and they aren't far from our thoughts...a couple of our friends start tomorrow, best wishes to them, too!
May your days be many and your troubles be few.
May all God's blessings descend upon you.
May peace be within you, may your heart be strong.
May you find what you're seeking wherever you roam.

We enjoyed painting today...
And doing the dishes...
And sweeping...
And forest adventures, feeding the cats, rabbits, and large animals, eating peanut butter banana smoothies and awesome egg salad, watching hummingbirds, playing dominoes, reading new library books, crocheting, and soaking up the sunshine.

AM: peanut butter banana smoothies
Lunch: egg salad, rice crackers, organic baby carrots
PM: trail mix (granola, craisins, nuts, sunflower seeds)
Tuesday
AM: French toast
Lunch: cheese tortellini w/ spinach and garlic butter
PM: kid- made Friendship bread
Wednesday
AM: organic apples
Lunch: homemade tomato soup, kid-made bread sticks, cheddar cheese cubes
PM: white bean tip, tortilla chips
Thursday
AM: Greek yogurt w/ honey and granola
Lunch: pinto beans, brown rice, spinach salad w/ homemade vinaigrette
PM: organic carrots, organic celery, homemade ranch dip
Friday
AM: oatmeal w/ dried fruit
Lunch: taco salad: local grass fed beef, black beans, organic lettuce, shredded carrots, tortilla strips, salsa)
PM: haystacks: chow mein noodles, peanut butter, chocolate

PM: snack mix: sunflower seeds, organic raisins, dark chocolate chips
Tuesday
AM: organic apples w/ honey/lemon/cashew dip
Lunch: BLT sandwich on toast (whole grain bread, nitrite/nitrate free turkey bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise), fruit salad (watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries)
PM: rice cakes w/ organic peanut butter and strawberry jam
Wednesday
AM: bananas
Lunch: roasted pastured chicken w/ organic quinoa and mixed vegetables
PM: corn tortilla chips, bean dip (pinto beans)
Thursday
AM: organic oatmeal w/ brown sugar and cinnamon and organic milk
Lunch: black bean enchilada casserole (black beans, brown rice, corn tortillas, homemade gluten-free enchilada sauce, Colby Jack cheese), organic baby spinach salad w/ homemade vinaigrette
PM: organic popcorn w/ butter, peanuts
Friday
AM: dry rice cereal squares
Lunch: scrambled eggs, bagels w/ cream cheese, applesauce
